Veg Gold Coin Recipe
Making Veg gold coin at home, yes! We aren’t talking about the real gold coins but the bread and a delicious mixed vegetable topped on it is the gold coins we will be making today. These are a lightweight, and tasty snack. Monsoons are here and we all love to enjoy such snack with tea at home with family. Ingredients for Veg Gold Coin
- Bread slices- 24
- Plain flour (maida)- ½ cup
- Sesame seeds (til)- for sprinkle
- Oil- for deep frying
- Carrot Finely chopped ¼ cup
- Onion Finely chopped ½ cup
- CapsicumFinely chopped ¼ cup
- Boiled and crushed sweet corn- ½ cup
- Green chilies- 3
- Ginger- 1 tablespoon (grated)
- Garlic- 2 tablespoon (finely chopped)
- Soy sauce- 1 teaspoon
- Salt – to tast
Process to make Veg Gold Coin
First of all, mix ½ cup of plain flour into a ½ cup of water in a bowl. Mix the two ingredients well to make a thick paste. After the paste is made keep it aside.
Using a glass of some other round shaped thing to cut a perfect circle out of the bread slice. Also, you can use a cookie cutter to do so. There will be a total of 24 gold coins made.
For the vegetable topping you need to mash the 6 boiled potatoes and keep it in a bowl.
Add finely grated carrots around ¼ cups.
Finely chop ½ cup of onions and add it to the bowl of potatoes and carrots.
Chop ¼ cup of capsicum, ½ cup of boiled and coarsely crushed sweet corn kernels.
Add the chopped onions, carrots, capsicum, and sweet corn into the bowl of mashed potatoes. Mix them well.
After mixing it add finely chopped green chilies, 1-tablespoon ginger, 2-tablespoon garlic and ½ teaspoon soy sauce into the mixture. Mix all of them into a fine mixture. Add salt to the mixture.
Take the round bread slice and add one spoon of the vegetable mixture on the top of the bread.
Above the vegetable, toppings add the plain flour and water paste. Spread it evenly.
Sprinkle some sesame seeds over the paste.
Take a pan and put oil into it. Heat the pan Once it gets heated put 3 coins into the pan at a time. Deep-fry the coins until they turn golden from both the sides.
Drain the coins on the absorbent paper. Your Veg Gold Coin is Ready to Serve.

Tips and Variations
- While you are deep frying the coins remember to do it carefully since the sesame seeds are sprinkled on the coins they may crackle and come up.
- You can also add red chili powder to the veggie mixture.
