Ingredients for Crispy Corn Fry
- Sweet corn 250 grams
- Red Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt as needed
- Ginger-garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
- Tomato sauce 1 tablespoon
- Corn flour 1.5 to 2 tablespoon
- Oil to deep dry
- Garlic cloves 3
- Hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce 1/4 cup
- Vinegar 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil 2 teaspoon
How to make crispy corn fry
Take a bowl; add sweet corn, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix them well.
Add tomato sauce to the bowl and mix everything well. Mixing tomato sauce well will give it an enhanced flavor as it helps to bind the corn flour.
Now add corn flour to the mixture and give it a good mix. Make sure one thing that the sweet corn kernels is dry. If not then add more corn flour.
Now take a deep pan, place it over a medium flame, add oil to deep fry. To check whether the oil is ready to fry or not, drop 2-3 kernels into it if they come up floating and turns light brown then the oil is ready.
Carefully transfer the kernels into the oil to deep fry. Keep stirring it in between until you see them turn golden and crispy. Don’t overcook.
Take them out of the pan and keep on a kitchen towel or tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Now, take a deep pan, place it on a medium flame, and add 2 tbsp. oil to heat.
Get garlic cloves, finely chop them and add them to the hot oil. Sauté until they turn slightly golden brown and raw aroma goes away.
Add hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce to garlic. If you don’t have hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce then you can use tomato sav=uce and chilli sauce separately to give the flavor.
Add soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Before adding pepper and salt, check the taste of the mixture and then add as required.
Give a mixture a good mix and then bring a mixture to boil. As soon as it boils, add crunch corns kernels to the sauce and mix it well.
Crispy corn fry is ready to serve. You can garnish it with spring onion greens or with chopped coriander leaves. This sweet corn recipe is tasty and easy, and will definitely be loved by each one of your family members. Tips and variations
- Be careful while frying the corns. Do not over fry the corns as they may burst.
